Independent self-publishing service Smashwords has disclosed that they have generated $25 million dollars in verifiable e-book sales from April 2014 to March 2015.  The e-book stores that accounted for almost all of the revenue were Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, the Smashwords Store, Scribd, OverDrive, Amazon, Baker & Taylor Axis 360, Blio, Oyster, Flipkart and Inktera.

Smashwords has been producing an annual survey for the last few years. They report on a number of relevant issues facing self-publishers, such as pricing and if you should enroll your title into e-book subscription services such as Kindle Unlimited or Scribd.  This is the first time that the company has ever acknowledged publicly how much money they are making from e-book sales.

If you want to take a gander at the report, we have posted it below. If you are new to self-publishing this is especially relevant.
